| Composer and organist Frank Speller plays his own works on the huge 92-rank organ of four manuals at the University of Texas at Austin, built by Visser-Rowland in 1995 and featured on Good Morning America as one of the largest organs built in the U. S. during the latter 20th century for a teaching institution. Speller teaches organ at the school and is organist at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin. His primary teachers of organ playing were Everett Hilty and Alexander McCurdy in the U. S., and Jeanne Demessieux and Pierre Froidebise in France. The works are tuneful, approachable, and engaging, almost all having been composed for use in church. A brass choir is included in the first.
