Howard Goodall (b. 1958) composed the choral works which are used as themes for two very popular TV programs from England, The Vicar of Dibley and Mr. Bean. They are performed on this CD by The Choir of Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford, Stephen Darlington, director; David Goode, organ. Goodall was a chorister at New College, and a music scholar at Christ Church. He provides very interesting notes on the music.
