Built in Manchester, England, in 1863 by Wadsworth Bros., the organ was moved from storage in Texas and restored from a state of seriously bad condition by OHS member J. C. Taylor for St. James Catholic Church in Madison, Wisconsin. Now, its fine sounds enjoy a grand and resonant acoustic. OHS member John Chappel Stowe�s vibrant performances make the most of the splendid program of works by Liszt, Vaughan Williams, Franck, Mendelssohn, Howells, Elgar, and Vierne.
